Postville
Project Receives Grant Funding

Iowa Governor Chet Culver has announced nearly $3 million in grants has
been awarded to four projects as part of the state's Vision Iowa
program.
Culver says the projects will give residents and visitors new
recreational and educational opportunities.
In Postville, $850,000 was awarded to a project adding an addition to
the city's existing recreation center.
Culver's office says $45,000 was awarded to a park shelter project in
Birmingham. Another $325,000 was awarded for a Children's Discovery
Center in Clinton. And the project getting the highest grant award.
$1.75 million, was a trail project that will start in Ankeny and
run 25 miles to Woodward.
The grants are contingent on the projects completing their fundraising
goals.
