Christmas in July at Backbone Park Today Posted 19 July 2008 Christmas in July?? Backbone State Park is hosting its 2nd Annual "Christmas in July" today, Saturday, July 19, in the park's South Lake Campground.   The public is welcome to drive through the campground and enjoy the sights of Christmas. Campers will decorate campsites in the spirit of Christmas--prizes will be given in several categories, including Most Lights, Biggest Reindeer and Most Original.   "Winter" games for the kids will start at 9:30 a.m. at the beach. Games begin at 2 p.m. this afternoon in the South Lake Campground. Santa will arrive later this afternoon at 5:30 p.m. Wagon rides will be provided from 6 to 8 p.m.   Christmas ornaments will be offered by the campground entrance for a $5 donation.   For more info, call the park office at 924-2527.
