Minor Injuries Result of Accident Thursday
Posted 19 July 2008
On Thursday, July 17, the Fayette County Sheriff's office responded to a two vehicle accident three miles south of West Union on Highway 150.

Upon arrival, deputies found a 2005 KIA van driven by Jordan Lee Fisher, age 17 of Greene, was traveling south when a Schwans truck driven by Jason Lee Lensing, age 31 of West Union, was turning left into a residence.

Fisher failed to keep his vehicle under control and struck the Schwans truck while turning and sent it over onto its side ending up in the driveway of the residence it was delivering to.

Fisher and seven passengers in the vehicle were not seriously injured and were treated at the scene by North East Iowa Transport for cuts and bruises. Lensing was taken to Palmer Hospital by private vehicle and released later with only minor injuries.

Fisher was later cited for failure to maintain control. The Fayette County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the West Union Police and Fire departments at the scene.
