Fayette Ambulance Garage Needs Repairs
Posted 23 July 2008
Earlier this week, members of the Fayette Ambulance crew
spoke to the Fayette City Council regarding the need for repairs on the
ambulance garage.
Repair projects identified by the ambulance department included the
replacement of the garage's east wall, replacement of a garage door and
general repair of concrete.
The department estimates the necessary repairs will cost about $20,000
but the ambulance service currently only has about $8,000 in their
coffers to work with.
Members of the Fayette City Council approved proceeding with the
repairs to the ambulance garage and then referred the matter of funding
for the project to the city's finance committee for a recommendation.
In other business, the Fayette City Council approved naming the local
recreational trail bridge the David Bolger Bridge, after the city's
benefactor. A portion of the fund used to create the structure came
from the city's Bolger account.
