MyEntre.Net Webinar: For the Love of a Pickle
Posted 16 June 2010
The story began in 1936 when Glazed Bites pickles were born into our family.  Over 70 years later, my husband and I were introduced to the Food Processing Center from the University of Nebraska to find our dream of bringing this unique pickle to market would come true.  A year later after hitting the store shelves, we are in 30 stores and have been inspired by the many stories we've heard not only from the customers but store managers about these pickles reminding them of ones that their Grandma used to make.  TAMS pickles started in 2007 and the pickles started hitting store shelves in 2009.

Tammi (Teague) Heuck was born May 1974.  She grew up on a farm near Laddonia, MO and has one sister.  Tammi graduated from Community R-6 School, Laddonia, MO in 1992.  She received a Medical Assisting Degree in St. Charles MO after High School and worked in Columbia, MO for a team of doctors before meeting her husband.  Tammi moved up to NW Iowa in 1996.

Mike Heuck was born in August 1966.  He grew up on a farm near Everly, IA and has one sister.  He graduated from Everly School in 1985 and received an Agricultural Degree at Iowa State University and has farmed on the family farm ever since.  Mike and Tammi married in 1997 and are grain and livestock farmers.  Tammi & Mike Heuck live in Spencer, Iowa with their two children, Austin 10 and Shelby 8.
